About the Program
The NRSM program empowers children to be safe on the roads. Our interactive lessons teach them the skills they need to navigate as pedestrians, cyclists, and passengers. With fun activities and age-appropriate learning, NRSM helps kids become confident and responsible road users.
Benefits
- Aligns with UN SDGs for safety and education
- Supported by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) and the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRT) initiatives
- Reaches over 5 million students across 5,000+ schools
Empowering Children
NRSM teaches children the rules of the road, helps them develop safe habits, and builds their confidence as pedestrians, cyclists, and passengers.

Focuses on Age-Appropriate Learning
The program is designed specifically for different age groups, ensuring that the information is relevant and engaging for each child.
Utilizes Interactive Learning Methods
NRSM goes beyond traditional lectures by incorporating interactive activities, videos, and games to keep children engaged and reinforce key concepts.

Program Milestones
NRSM has made tremendous progress since its inception, with key milestones in both the Summer and Winter editions. Each phase focuses on scaling impact, increasing student engagement, and delivering an enriching learning experience.
Summer Edition (2024)
Target Group: Grades 1–8
Olympiad Details
Date: June 15, 2024
The Olympiad assesses students on their road safety knowledge and skills.
Participation: Over 500,000 students from 1,500+ schools.
Certificates and Awards:Top performers were ranked at school, state, and national levels, with certificates and medals awarded to exceptional students.
Olympiad Details
Engaged over 700,000 students across 35 states and UTs. Provided road safety education through a mix of fun activities, learning modules, and interactive lessons tailored for younger students.

Winter Edition (2024-25)
Target Group: Grades 1–12
Higher grades (9–12) are introduced to gamified simulations, providing a more advanced and realistic learning experience. These simulations focus on critical thinking, decision-making in real-world road situations, and building awareness of their roles as future drivers.
Olympiad and Certificates
Participation: Over 750,000 students from 2,500+ schools. Awards and Certificates: National-level Olympiad that rewarded the top-performing 100 students, with certificates, medals, and trophies at national levels.
Olympiad and Certificates
Interactive tech-driven modules for higher grades, incorporating gamified road safety challenges, simulated traffic scenarios, and hands-on safety lessons.
Future Goals: Launching Summer 2025 Edition
Building on the success of both the Summer and Winter editions, NRSM is launching the next phase of its mission in Summer 2025. This edition will focus on expanding our impact to 6 million+ students by the end of the year, across 6,000+ schools. Our goal is to further improve student engagement with road safety education through tech-driven innovation, increased interactive learning tools, and more extensive participation in Olympiads and gamified simulations.
